Cold Case Solved?

A 59 year old Lake Leake man fronts court in Hobart today over a 20 year old murder case.

The remains of 37 year Hobart fisherman Ronald Frederick Jarvis were found in bushland near Nugent in 1993 - the last sighting of him was the year before when police believe he was shot dead.

Detectives from the now-disbanded cold case unit reopened the case in 2010 with the search of a Lake Leake property - Stephen Roy Standage stands accused of the killing.

Inspector Glenn Lathey says it's taken a lot of work.
