Police hold little hope of finding two fishermen missing in waters off south west Tasmania alive.

The operation has now been scaled down - with the rescue chopper and ground crew being sent back to Hobart. The PV Van Dieman has replaced the Vigilant after arriving from Strahan a short time ago. It’s hoped the weather will abate so police divers can search waters surrounding Point Lucy at Port Davey - where 31 year old Tim Whayman and 29 year old Ben Clarke went missing while setting cray pots on Sunday night.
