Sam Kekovich is back with a reworking of “Barbie Girl” by Aqua featuring a few familiar Australian faces from the past and future.
I must admit I am a bit of a fan of Peter Jackson’s trilogy of films based around ‘The Lord of the Rings’ books and finally we get a preview of the movie which is set 50 years prior – ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’.
Shot in New Zealand and hitting cinemas next year in 3D, if you were a fan of the first three films it looks like you will not be disappointed!
Last night I sat through the most grisly movie I have seen in a while “Snowtown” based on the South Australian “Bodies in the barrels” murders that occurred from 1992 to 1999.
While it is difficult material to watch due to the grisly story which is based on the facts of the murders the film is just incredible. A great script, brilliant cast and sensational direction.
I would not recommend watching this on a family movie night as it is very disturbing knowing that this crime did occur here in Australia but it is proof that our Australian film industry is still producing amazing films.
Hold onto your hats! 10 years since Will Smith & Tommy-Lee Jones starred in M.I.B. II they are back on the big screen in 3D May 25 2012 – yes a bit of a wait but I am very excited!
