A Glen Huon man continues what’s likely to be a lengthy recovery after an alleged coward punch outside of a Huon Valley licensed premises last month.
The 25-year-old was hospitalised with injuries including a fractured skull and brain bleeding.
Police have now charged a 21-year-old Kingston man over the incident, as well as an unrelated serious assault in the state’s north…
He’s due in court on the 21st.
As part of investigations the hotel’s licensee was fined nearly $3000 for supplying alcohol to a 15 year old.
“It is extremely disheartening that the staff of a licensed establishment would disregard their obligation to enforce age restrictions and provide alcohol to a person so young,” said Inspector Colin Riley.
“We expect a higher standard of responsibility from those involved in the service of alcohol.”
