The IGA Launceston City Community Christmas is gearing up for another year.
The massively popular event for 2024 is being jointly planned by the Salvation Army and Launceston Benevolent Society.
It’s expected that along with the many lunches that will be provided on the day at the Launceston Conference Centre (Door of Hope), there will also be up to 100 take away packs distributed to the homeless through St Vincent de Paul Tasmania – Vinnies Van.
The Benevolent Society’s general manager Karen Crane says registrations to both attend and volunteer open next Monday, September 16.
“This event would not go ahead without volunteers,” she said.
“We need around 100 volunteers for the day. As many as possible would be great.”
