Tasnetworks is warning the hundreds of customers still without power in the state’s north that the work getting them reconnected will be the slowest since the outages began more than a week ago.
It says the complexity and severity of the jobs, with a number in isolated and hard-to-access locations, means that they’ll take longer to fix.
More than 30 additional workers have been brought in from interstate and from Tasmania’s south to assist with the recovery.
Tasnetworks’ website was showing there were still 68 outages on Monday morning, September 9. Some homes and businesses have been without power for a week or more.
