A self guided walk to lock eyes on platypus along Hobart’s Rivulet has now fallen into place with some help from school kids.
Signs have been contributed by South Hobart Primary School students in creating the tour experience.
Principal Anne Reeves is finding the kids are keen for the platypus to thrive.

“They are very conscious about the impact they have and being right next door to the Rivulet, we are very concerned that the platypus is looked after and the Rivulet is clean and healthy.”
Hobart Lord Mayor Anna Reynolds finds interest in the platypus has soared.
“People are already asking about the Hobart platypus since it did feature on a national and international documentary, so it’s become a bit of a superstar.”
