Former Bachelor stars Matty ‘J’ Johnson and Laura Byrne are preparing to welcome their third child—and they’ve already shared her name! Breaking tradition, the couple revealed their baby girl will be named Poppy during a recent episode of the Stellar podcast, Something To Talk About.
“We’re so excited and can’t wait to meet Poppy,” Matty J shared on the podcast. However, he admitted they’re a bit nervous about life with three kids.
Already parents to daughters Marlie-Mae, 6, and Lola, 4, the couple is gearing up for life as a family of five. “We’re prepared for the worst but hoping for the best,” Laura added.
A Love Story Rooted in Reality TV
Matty J and Laura met on The Bachelor in 2017 and tied the knot on the NSW South Coast in 2022. Earlier this year, Matty appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and didn’t know about Laura’s pregnancy until after filming wrapped.
Laura discovered she was pregnant just days after Matty left for South Africa. “By the time I told Matt, I was already 10 weeks along,” she said. “It was such a big secret—I even told random people, like Julia Morris, before I could tell him!”
