Family Fun and Inclusive Cricket Take Centre Stage at Invermay Park for the First Inclusion Club Cup

LAUNCESTON, TAS – Everyday Independence is teaming up with Blind Cricket Tasmania, Inclusive Innovations Tasmania, and Mowbray Cricket Club to host a community day of inclusive sport and family fun at Invermay Park on Sunday, 1 March 2026 from 10:00am-4:00pm.

The first-ever Inclusion Club Cup will feature the Tasmania Blind and Low Vision Tigers taking on Mowbray Cricket Club’s First XI in an action‑packed match of Blind and Low Vision (BLV) SONIX Cricket—a fast, fully accessible format designed to bring everyone closer to the game.

The community is invited to enjoy family activities, meet the players, try BLV SONIX Cricket, and connect with Everyday Independence’s Launceston allied therapy team to learn about the social model therapy in action.

About BLV SONIX Cricket

BLV SONIX Cricket blends the pace of indoor cricket with Big Bash–style excitement. The accessible format features six‑a‑side teams, 14 overs, Power Plays, potential Super Overs, batting pairs, wicket penalties, closer marked boundaries for higher scoring, and low‑vision simulation with four sighted players wearing blackout glasses. Creating a fast, inclusive experience for all abilities.
