COMMUNITY · CREATIVITY · MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS BEFORE & BECOMING — Art Exhibition For Mental Health Month in Tasmania Call for Entries One in two Tasmanians will experience a mental health condition at some point in their life — the highest rate in the country. Our community is going through a lot right now. In one way or another, we are all part of a community navigating mental health. There is so much hidden talent in our community, and BEFORE & BECOMING is an invitation to raise awareness through art, creativity and lived experience. You don’t need to be a professional artist, have formal training or create something perfect. Your art, your story and your perspective are enough. The exhibition is inviting anyone in the community to share their art, creativity or lived experience as part of a conversation about mental health. Maybe art is something you use to support your own mental health. Maybe you’ve created something for someone you love who is struggling. Maybe your work represents loss, recovery, caring for someone, standing beside someone or simply reminding someone that they are not alone. I’d particularly love to see people who use art to support their own mental health share their work, Painting, drawing, writing, craft and photography are all welcome Entries close at 5pm on Friday the 4th of September, so there is still time to get involved. To register, scan the QR code on the exhibition poster or email risekindco@gmail.com to request a registration form.
