Another month, another record broken at Launceston Airport.
Close to 100-thousand passengers passed through the airport in May – which is an increase on pre-pandemic levels.
At the same time, Launceston’s status as the online shopping capital of Tasmania has been further emphasised with new larger Airbus A-321 freight aircraft flying in, replacing the old ‘737s.

The figures represent a continuing story of growth and performance at the airport, which has seen a total of around 640,000 passengers already this year.
Airport CEO Shane O’Hare says it underscores the significance of the airport as the gateway to the state’s north.
