Richmond Football Club CEO Brendon Gale has announced he’s stepping down from the Tigers’ top job at the end of the year.
In a story posted on the Richmond club website Gale says the time is right to step away and take on his next challenge.

The former Penguin and Burnie footballer played 244 games at Richmond at the highest level between 1990 and 2001, stepping up as CEO in 2009.
It’s been widely speculated Gale will be the inaugural CEO of the new Tasmania Devils side.
The Devils are expected to make an announcement next month.
