A Hobart couple is celebrating a $100,000 Instant Scratch-Its win.
The husband and wife decided to try somewhere new, purchasing a $5 Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket at Cat & Fiddle Lotto, Cat & Fiddle Arcade, Shop 47, 51 Murray Street, Hobart.
This morning an official from The Lott reached out to the chuffed couple, who were still in disbelief about their recent good fortune.
They had purchased a $5 Crosswords ticket before, but it was the first time they’d purchased a ticket from that store.
When asked how they planned to enjoy their instant $100,000 windfall, the couple shared they wanted to take some time before making any firm decisions.
“I think we’re going to hold onto it for a little while. We’ll have a think about it and then decide. We don’t want to rush into anything,” the winning woman said.
Cat & Fiddle Lotto team leader Gemma Wilkinson said the team was excited to have sold their first top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
“I didn’t quite believe it. We have been waiting and hoping this day would come,” Ms Wilkinson said.
