Tasmanian wicket keeper batsman Matthew Wade has called time on his career in the Big Bash.
He played with both the Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades for the first six Big Bash campaigns, before joining the Hobart Hurricanes ahead of BBL|07.
Wade is one of three players to have scored more than 2000 runs for the Canes with his unbeaten 130 remaining a club record by a Hurricanes batter.

He made 90 appearances for Hobart – netting 2446 runs, 1741 catches and 6 stumpings.
Cricket Tasmania’s General Manager of High Performance Salliann Beams described him as an “incredibly important figure” for the Hurricanes and Tasmanian cricket over a long period of time.
