Southern Cross Care CEO resigns

There’s been another resignation at the top of Southern Cross Care Tasmania.

CEO Robyn Boyd has quit the aged care provider, following in the footsteps of chair Stephen Shirley recently stepping down.

A few weeks ago, Independent Member for Clark, Andrew Wilkie used parliamentary privilege to roast Southern Cross Care’s performance which runs nine residential facilities in Tasmania.

Mr. Wilkie claimed it runs dangerously low levels of staff, serves poor food and has slow and dangerous bell response times.

Southern Cross Care’s Chief Financial Officer Jara Dean will be stepping in as Interim CEO.
