Tasmania records two more Covid linked deaths

Tasmania’s Coronavirus numbers have climbed slightly, as we brave the Winter wave of Covid-19.

Public Health is reporting 1,328 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

177 people are in hospital with Coronavirus, 40 people are being treated specifically for Covid-related symptoms.

635 Covid-positive people are using the COVID@Homeplus program.

Three people are being cared for in the ICU.

Sadly, a woman in her 90s and a man in his 80s has passed away in the State’s South.

The state’s Coronavirus toll has reached 129 since the pandemic began in 2020.

Active case figures have dropped from 8,450 to 8,217 over the past day, with more than 210,000 Tasmanians recovering from Covid-19.

4248 of those cases can be found in Tasmania’s South, with over 3,600 spread across the North and North West.
