Tasmania has recorded a further 269 new Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours.
28 people are in hospital with Covid-19, 11 of those patients being treated specifically for symptoms.
Two Covid-positive people are being cared for in the ICU.
138 people are using the COVID@homeplus program.
Sadly, a man in his late 70s has passed away in the States North-West.
There have also been two additional deaths recorded in Aged Care facilities from earlier this year (one from March, and one from January) where COVID-19 has now been identified as a cause or a contributing factor.
The pandemic toll has climbed to 180 since the pandemic began in 2020.
The current risk of Covid-19 in the community is moderate.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff is reminding Tasmanians of the importance of reporting positive test results.
Locals who test positive for Coronavirus can register your test here, or by calling the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 to ensure you have access to COVID@homeplus if you require it, as well as access to anti-viral medications if you are eligible.
In the meantime, Public Health has recommended wearing a mask in all indoor public places and on public transport, and in other settings, if you can’t physically distance.
Masks must still be worn in all our public hospitals.
