Justin Timberlake battled a “debilitating” medical condition throughout his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which concluded on July 30 in Istanbul, Turkey.
The “Suit & Tie” star shared an emotional Instagram post to commemorate the tour’s final show, calling it “the most fun, emotional, gratifying, physically demanding, and, at times, grueling experience.” He expressed gratitude, saying, “I gave everything I had to this. I couldn’t have done it without my family, friends, the TN Kids, and all of YOUR support.”
Timberlake also opened up about a personal battle that had remained behind the scenes.
“I’m a pretty private person,” he began. “But reflecting on this tour, I feel it’s time to share a bit about what’s been going on with me.”
The singer revealed he was diagnosed with Lyme disease, a condition he described as “relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.” He explained, “I don’t share this for sympathy but to shed light on the challenges I’ve faced. If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has, you understand how exhausting it can be.”
Timberlake admitted that the diagnosis initially shocked him but also provided clarity. “At least I finally understood why I was experiencing constant nerve pain, overwhelming fatigue, and sickness, even while performing onstage. It was a tough personal decision—stop touring or push through and figure it out. Ultimately, the joy performing brings me far outweighed the temporary stress my body endured. I’m so glad I kept going.”
Despite the challenges, Timberlake’s resilience and passion for his craft carried him through what he described as one of the most demanding yet rewarding chapters of his career.
