Ever polished off a Popcorn Chicken feed and wondered how those delicious morsels might be served up across the globe? Have you been feeling the throws of vacation depravation setting in and no reason to “Holiday, celebrate fiesta”? Well, the Colonel is a man of many talents and travel agent is now at the top of the list. So, dust off your Duolingo membership and pack your bags, because KFC is sending a handful of lucky fans around the world to fly before you try with… grab your drumstick for a drumroll please: Kentucky Fly Chicken.

and yes it’s too early for April Fools so this is legit.

In a world-first, five Aussie KFC fans will be jet-setting to one of five (mostly) top-secret locations to taste items from international KFC menus. So, how does it work? Well, eager travellers will need to jump into the Aussie KFC App and begin the search for hidden international menu items which can be found on KFC menus around the world. Fans on the hunt will need to locate the items (which have never been seen Down Under) and use their KFC knowledge to decide if the product feels a little out of place on the Aussie menu before adding it to their cart. They’ll then go on the standby list to win one of these Fried-infused overseas experiences in that meal’s country of origin and enjoy it IRL.

So far, the Colonel has put the wind beneath one lucky fan’s (chicken) wings, sending the first winner to Tokyo to try KFC Japan’s iconic Wafu Cutlet Burger, which some eagle-eyed fans may have seen lurking around the KFC App in recent weeks. Featuring a panko-crumbed chicken fillet coated in KFC’s iconic herbs and spices, this bad boy also comes packed with teriyaki sauce, mayonnaise and shredded cabbage – quite literally sending one KFC fan’s tastebuds soaring to new heights. In addition to trying this delicious treat in its country of origin, the winner was given a whirl-winded trip around Tokyo complete with tours and experiences. Winning fans can look forward to business class flights and four-star accommodation, as well as spending money and cultural experiences to the value of $6,000 courtesy of the Colonel.

Tami Cunningham, CMO at KFC Australia, commented: “We love creating fresh and exciting opportunities for fans to interact with and try KFC. Since the only thing better than an overseas trip is our delicious fried chicken, we saw the perfect opportunity to combine the two and offer our fans the chance to experience the trip of a lifetime with KFC at the heart. So, make sure you have the KFC App handy and get searching, because a world of KFC is dropping in the App, and you never know where you’ll be jet-setting to next.”

Entries for Kentucky Fly Chicken are open from today, Tuesday 20th February and run until Monday 18th March with four new international products to be found (one at a time) over four weeks. A minimum spend of $1 within the KFC App is required to enter. Entrants must have a valid Australian passport and be ready for a cluckin’ good time around the world. Download. Order. Win. Fly.
